The Second Sunday of Easter is known as “Divine Mercy Sunday.” In the Gospel of St. John for this Sunday, we hear of Jesus giving the authority to forgive sins to His Apostles. This same authority to forgive sins has been passed on as part of the Church’s ministry through the ordination of bishops and priests. We will have a Holy Hour and pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 3:00 p.m., Sunday April 11, at Church of the Atonement. The Sacrament of Penance will be available as well.
